World Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP)

World Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) is a global standard for determining the levels of ‘real-world’ CO2 emissions and fuel consumption, which became mandatory for all new cars (powered by an Internal Combustion Engine) sold in Europe by September 2018 and replaced the NEDC test procedure in September 2017. It is used as well to determine the range of fully electric vehicles.
