PDK
PDK (acronym for Porsche Doppel Kupplungs getriebe and translates to Porsche double-clutch transmission) is Porsche’s brand name for the dual-clutch transmission (DCT) which operates basiclly the same way as other DCTs on the market. Instead of one clutch engaged with a flywheel, PDK has two clutches and, basically, two gearboxes combined into one cover. One clutch operates reverse, first, third, fifth, and seventh gears, and the second clutch operates second, fourth and sixth gears.
