Induction/Intake Stroke

Induction/Intake Stroke is a phase of the cycle of an internal-combustion engine (usually the first of four stages in a four-stroke engine) where the piston moves from top to bottom of the cylinder, creating a vacuum that draws the air-fuel mixture into the combustion chamber through an intake valve at the top of the cylinder.
